Respon Rumput Brachiaria decumbens Terhadap Pemberian Biochar dan Pupuk Organik Pada Tanah Berpasir

This research aims to determine the effect of the combination of biochar and organic fertilizer on the growth and production of Brachiaria decumbens on sandy soil and to find the combined dosage of biochar and organic fertilizers that give the best results for growth and production of Brachiaria decumbens on sandy soil.
This research was designed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single treatment of various combinations of biochar and organic fertilizer (C) with 5 replications c0 = without biochar and organic fertilizer (control), c1 = 5 ton ha-1 biochar + 15 tons ton ha-1 organic fertilizer, c2 = 10 ton ha-1 biochar + 10 ton ha-1 organic fertilizer and c3 = 15 ton ha-1 biochar + 5 ton ha-1 organic fertilizer. The results of this research were that the combination dose of biochar and organic fertilizer had no effect on the number of Brachiaria decumbens grass seedlings aged 2 mst, 4 mst, 6 mst and 8 mst and plant height 2 mst, 4 mst and 6 mst but had a significant effect on height plants at the age of 8 mst and crop production as well as giving a combination of 10 research biochar + 10 research organic fertilizer gave the highest yield to 8 mst age plant height and crop production.
